Palo Santo Designs LLC is an award winning design/build general contractor based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have been providing our clients in the residential and commercial markets with exemplary green buildings and retrofits since 2001. Our mission is to provide environmentally sound construction of the highest quality and value in alignment with the budget constraints and project goals set out by our clients. We specialize in homebuilding and remodeling utilizing state-of-the-art methods, technology and materials for energy efficiency, passive solar design, water conservation, site stewardship, and indoor air quality. We are unique in our expertise in leveraging cutting-edge innovations in green building along with time-tested traditional, natural building materials and techniques. This is exemplified in the design and construction of our recent project at 16 Lime Kiln Road, featured in this year’s Parade of Homes. The use of low-cost passive solar techniques, ultra-high-efficiency building shell materials and methods, traditional earthen materials, and advanced solar technology is a testament to how green is attainable on a modest budget and in harmony with the aesthetics of contemporary design. The home was the winner of the 2011 US Green Building Council’s Green Built Tour award for “Exemplary Indoor Environmental Quality” and marks the culmination of a decade of work in sustainable design, joining the ranks of several other past projects by Palo Santo Designs LLC that have gained acclaim from local and national media over the years.
